Aerator for a washbasin faucet. It operates similarly to old hand wash stations that had a movable element with a valve, requiring the user to press it to release a portion of water. In this case, the aerator also features a movable stem with a valve, which allows water to flow only when pressed. However, the operating principle is slightly different: when the stem is pressed, water continues to flow until the user presses it again. This ensures maximum water savings, preventing unnecessary consumption that typically occurs with a standard aerator—such as during faucet activation, deactivation, or while applying soap to hands.
